- Introducing Yoga to children
Staff Training and Inset for Teachers
Delivering Dance Training to Schools and Child Care settings
Creative yoga dance workshops provide practical ideas and suggestions about how practitioners can develop movement ideas. Stimulus for movement can come from a variety of sources and link to the curriculum: seasonal events and topic themes. Using books and stories provides a good stimulus for yoga dance and demonstrates how simple stories can be adapted and how ideas can be developed in a stimulating and exciting way. This allows children to use drama, imagination and creative ideas to explore and develop their thinking skills and learn primarily from being actively and kinetically involved.
Sessions provide practical ways in which dance can be explored. Exciting resources: music, percussion instrument, puppets and books are used to support sessions and provide practitioners with further ideas for development.
